"What you dislike in another take care to correct in yourself." -Thomas Sprat
So you're the man in the mirror, eh? |
Before you pass strict judgment on another, take the time to look within yourself. If you can understand what irritates you about others, you will learn a little bit more about yourself.
While we are on this subject, do you know grinds my gears? When people on Twitter complain about their follows/followers being self-centered or too full of themselves. Its like the pot callin' the kettle except with narcissism. It bothers me because the very foundation of the twitta is that people are so vain and self-absorbed that they believe people would want to read their thoughts in 140 characters or less. People amass hundreds of followers who witness each tweet and they all engage in egotistical and boastful exchanges of random thoughts. They unconsciously think, "Of course you wanna know I'm f*cking hungry and you're interested to know what I ended up eating." Why else would they tweet "I'm so flucking hungry. Think I'm gonna go to 5 guys." My point is, before you complain about the actions of another, recognize that you may behave in a similar fashion. You may be thinking if you acted in such a way, your friends would have corrected you by now but your friends may be the same way. Birds of a feather. <<---let that marinate.
Let he is without sin cast the first stone.
