Sharing is Caring: Warren Buffet recounts best advice he's ever received

Source: Yahoo.com

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo! News and The Huffington Post, he credited his father for teaching him how to live, and explained that all parents can make a "better human being" by offering their children unconditional love:

The power of unconditional love. I mean, there is no power on earth like unconditional love. And I think that if you offered that to your child, I mean you’re 90 percent of the way home. There may be days when you don’t feel like it, it’s not uncritical love, that’s a different animal, but to know you can always come back, that is huge in life. That takes you a long, long way. And I would say that every parent out there that can extend that to their child at an early age, it’s going to make for a better human being.

Buffett spoke from Sun Valley, Idaho, while attending the Allen & Company conference, an annual gathering of technology and media leaders.

Buffett, one of the most successful investors of our age, is known as the "Oracle of Omaha" for his wide-ranging views on economic, political and cultural issues. Buffett recently joined forces once again with Bill and Melinda Gates to launch an initiative to persuade the world's billionaires to donate half their fortunes to charity. To that end, Buffett says Oprah Winfrey should expect his call:

And when he’s not recruiting billionaire philanthropists or running Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett told us he’s probably online. One of his favorite sites? You Tube. Find out what Buffett watches on You Tube and get his take on Facebook and Twitter here:

Regardless of how you feel about your parents, unocnditional love is very powerful. I challenge you to love everyone in your circle unconditionally. Unconditional love pushes you to want to improve yourself and it motivates you to take risks knowing there is always someone there to love you. Love yourself unconditionally as well as your craft. You will experience let downs every now and again but if you can see past imperfections you will live many days happier.

If you decide not to listen to him, that is on you. If you ask me (and I know you didnt) only a fool would ignore free advice from one of the most successful investors that would normally cost an arm and a leg. Although Buffet is a billionaire and many people may have expected him to give advice about money, he is still a human being who needs love. Buffet's advice is another indicator that money does not buy true happiness.
