“If you will call your troubles experiences, and remember that every experience develops some latent force within you, you will grow vigorous and happy, however adverse your circumstances may seem to be.” -John Heywood
Remember when you were 5? Remember how eager you were to play outside? Remember how it felt before you knew what it felt like to fall off of your bike? Remember how eager you were to learn new things & perform science projects? I still remember my ribbon for my potato experiment and I helped a friend get second place with an experiment on color mixing.
My point? Work with the same optimism that you had when you were a kid. Within every setback lies a lesson to be learned. Take risks like you've never experienced failure; do not let setbacks get the best of you. Every time you fall, get up and try again. Behind every failure is a lesson. If you train yourself to think this way you will begin to approach every situation with a positive mindset. Every event is an opportunity to learn more about life, about people and about yourself.
Sidenote: YES I just posted a video of the Magic School Bus to make a point. Take chances, make mistakes and GET MESSY!
