Today's message is brought to you by the letter P as in Purpose. Today is the day to (re)discover your life's purpose. If you have not done so already, take a moment and write down what you believe is the true purpose of your life. Eliminate all the white noise caused by desires for money and expensive status symbols and focus on what you believe you were put on earth to accomplish. Once you are comfortable with your purpose(s) think about what you need to do to accomplish your goals. By thinking about this, you are forcing yourself to evaluate the direction of your life. It is important to do so because once we begin to live with purpose we begin to live a more fulfilled life. For example, if you discover that your purpose is to serve your community through politics, then its time for you to start networking. By the same token, if you discover your true calling is to become a teacher, it is time for you to work on your communication skills. Once you figure out your purpose, each decision you make should be in line with your purpose. A life overtaken with a seriousness of purpose is one governed by that purpose. It is what we revert to daily. It is our central focus. It is our baseline for how we assess our success. Develop a purpose that works for you and become dedicated to living your life with purpose.
