“Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself - no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are - completely; the good and the bad - and make changes as YOU see fit - not because you think someone else wants you to be different.”-Stacey Charter
Here at HUSL Today we are agent's of change. I encourage everyone to adapt to situations and to be open to change; however, you all should understand that there is a caveat attached to that advice. That caveat is that any changes you choose to make should not be a result of a desire to please any one else but yourself. If you are unhappy with your attitude or if it is starting to have a negative impact on your life, change it. Do not change it because Bob, Joe & Susan think you should talk, walk and act a certain way. Take responsibility for who you become. Again, at the risk of sounding cliche, you are the the one who has to live with the decisions you make. The funny thing about people is that our opinions change. What happens if you make decisions to please others and they end up unsatisfied? Will you change something else? Where would you draw the line? Meeting new people and making new connections is wonderful. You are wonderful. Allow them to get to know the real you. I'm sure they would be in for a real treat!
Love!
