Did I just quote Dr. Seuss on a blog aimed at Young Professionals? YES, yes I did. Shocked? Don't be. One Fish. Two Fish. Red Fish. Blue Fish. Moving on. Take a moment and ask yourself this: Do you have the courage to go where your spirit takes you?!  Be clear, your mind and your spirit are two different entities and you should not confuse the two. Your mind changes, your spirit does not. Your mind is intrigued by worldly materials and people, your spirit is not easily moved. Follow your spirit, it is there to lead you.

Have you ever considered how much bravery it takes to decide your own path? You will encounter cowards who were to afraid to follow their dreams so they have resolved to making sure no one else does.You will meet people whose purpose is to make you question your dreams. You will meet people who may be so headstrong that they try to get you to change your path. You must not allow such people to throw you off. I am not saying you should nix everyone who criticizes you but be weary of those who only have negative things to say. Allow me to put this advice in context because some of you need to be criticized. Some of you think everyone is out to get you. Some of you do not know how to recognize the value of criticism. Message. I dont want any of you walking around like your BM doesnt stink and all of your ideas will pan out to make you successful. Constructive criticism is healthy. Go back & read that last sentence again. This is where your circle of trust comes into play. Your circle should be comprised of realistic people who have your best interests in mind so you can trust them to give you their honest opinions. Your circle will save you from investing your time and energy on unreasonable ventures. Don't waste time conversing with people who can not offer constructive criticism. When you realize you are dealing with a negative person, do this:
Remain steadfast.
Hold your head high.
Defend your dreams!
Fight to go where you KNOW in your spirit you should be going!
