The Freeh Report on Penn State: PSU "Concealed Critical Facts"

Source.
I want to SCREAAAMMM!! Ex-FBI chief Louis Freeh confirmed what we knew all along: JoePa and the entire PSU administration KNEW Sandusky was molesting young boys for years. Instead of addressing the issue at the first sign of a problem they chose to ignore it in favor of protecting their football empire. My blood is boiling. According to Freeh, Penn State leaders including late head football coach Joe Paterno concealed critical facts about former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky's child sexual abuse for years, showing a "total disregard" for the safety of his victims, former FBI director Louis Freeh said in a report on Thursday.

PSU tried to show their responsible side by hiring Freeh to investigate the obvious mishandling of allegations. At the conclusion of the 8-month investigation, Freeh remarked "Our most saddening and sobering finding is the total disregard for the safety and welfare of Sandusky's child victims by the most senior leaders at Penn State." Peen State be damned, the 267-page report comes as no surprise to me or anyone else with good sense.  It is, however, another blow for PSU as they prepare for the civil lawsuit floodgates to swing open. Freeh's report made it easier for the victims to go after Paterno's estate and others involved as they are officially accessories to Sandusky's crimes. The logic is simple: If you know of someone committing a crime and you fail to honor your obligation to report said crime you are just as guilty as the person actually committing the crime.

Now, I'm not the brightest lightbulb in the box but I can tell PSU fans are still in denial about this whole thing. I call bullshit. To them, JoePa could do no wrong. To them, this is unbelievable so they choose not to believe it. Even Sandusky's conviction on 45 counts of child molestation last month is not enough to warrant criticism of their beloved coach. The coaching legend lost his battle with lung cancer at the tender age of 85. While fans demand to treat the deceased JoePa with respect, its difficult to grasp how people can continue to show total disregard for the victims. Its disgusting.

You can read the full report here.
At the moment, no stories have leaked about Sandusky's official welcome to jail party but I'm confident they went all out as he faces 373 years.
