Sports News: Recap of the 2010 ESPYs


Last night the 2010 ESPY awards aired. The show was hosted by Seth Meyers of "Saturday Night Live". Overall it was a great show with lots of entertainment for both fanatics and casual fans alike.

Here's a recap of the night's events...

Before the first award was presented, Seth opened the show with this monologue:




The New Orleans Saints took home the award for "Best Team".
Saints quarterback Drew Brees also won four trophies

LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant won the award for "Best NBA Player"
Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans won the "Best Breakthrough Athlete" award and thanked Twitter in his acceptance speech.
Floyd Mayweather won "Best Fighter"
Serena Williams won the award for "Best Female Tennis Player"
#1 NBA Draft pick John Wall won the "Best Male College Athlete"
UConn basketball star Maya Moore won "Best Female College Athlete"

Janelle Monae also performed throughout the show. Gotta love her unique style.
