Ratchet Tracks: Snoop Dogg's "Gin & Juice"

Yes, I just posted this knowing you're at work. Turn the lights down low and put on your headphones, it about to be *that* kinda Tuesday. Today's song is brought to you by plaid pajamas, afro picks with a fist on the end and Olde English 40oz drinks. Before he got his hands on that good ganja, Snoop Lion was rapping lines like, "With so much drama in the L-B-C its kinda hard bein Snoop dee owe double gee." I think thats a classic song opening, by the way. 

Gin & Juice is the second single from the lanky rapper from Long Beach, California's debut album Doggystyle. Listen with me.

For those who don't know, the song is an ode to Seagram's Gin and Juice, which is a popular drink concoction for ratchets and hoodrats. Gin & Juice is usually made with 1 part gin to 1 part juice, but if you're feeling skrong you can make it with 3/4 gin and 1/4 juice. Extra fancy folks can combine the following: 
2 oz of Gin 
2 oz of grapefruit juice 
3 oz of orange juice
1 slice lime
