Out the door. . .inspirational quote to start your day

Good morning and happy Cinco de Mayo to all of you! If no one else has done so yet, allow me to be the first to congratulate you on making it to hump day. Waking up each day may seem like a minor accomplishment, indeed one many take for granted, but when you think of the people that did not live to see this day it should change your perspective.

The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
-Bob Moawad
With this quote in mind there is no reason why you can't get started on a positive note today. Evaluate your actions yesterday and use them as a crutch to get your day started. Make a vow to make yesterday jealous!

A special Cinco de Mayo quote after the jump.

What is Cinco de Mayo(Spanish for 5th of May)?  The day commemorates the victory of the Mexican Militia over the French Army at The Battle Of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Check out this very good video a 17 year old made about the significance of Cinco de Mayo:

Although a recently published UCLA paper proclaims the holiday is virtually ignored in Mexico, it is still celebrated in Puebla and the rest of Mexico as a voluntary holiday. We also celebrate it in the United States. How do we celebrate? With friends! The significance of Cinco de Mayo in America is similar to what St. Patrick's Day is to people of Irish ancestry or Oktoberfest to people of German ancestry.

Check below to see if you can relate to any of my favorite quotes about partying:

"When life hands you lemons, grab the tequila and salt!"

A good friend would bail you out of jail, but your best friend would be the one sitting next to you saying, "damn that was awesome."
“Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.”

No matter how you celebrate, if alcohol is involved please drink responsibly.  Remember FRIENDS dont let FRIENDS drive drunk!
