Out the door...inspirational quote to start your day

Good morning friends! Happy Hump Day!

“In order to excel, you must be completely dedicated to your chosen sport. You must also be prepared to work hard and be willing to accept destructive criticism. Without 100% dedication, you won't be able to do this.” -Wilson Mizner
Read the rest for more inspiration.

Although Mizner's quote refers to sports per se, my interpretation makes the assumption that life is a sport. Your challenges are like hurdles on the track field of life and you are the best runner on your team. No one will run the race like you because NO ONE has your unique set of abilities. No one is motivated by the things that motivate you. No one is as special as you. You must be prepare by conditioning your mind, body & spirit because life is an endurance race. You will knock over hurdles and incur penalties for mistakes made along the way but you must never stop running. You must be dedicated to your dreams. It is up to you to do what makes you happy. You must be willing to allow the destructive words of others roll off of your shoulders.

Lets face it: People will laugh at your dreams and stab you in the back. People will tell lies & start rumors about your reputation. Friends will let you down. You will make mistakes. Family will turn their backs on you. Co-workers will start office rumors about you. Spouses will break your heart. You will get caught in the rain without an umbrella. Get over it! All of it! Dont waste your time on negative people. They are not worth it! It is imperative that you maintain control of YOUR ATTITUDE for it determines the outcome.

String up your cleats, its time to hit the ground running!
